Solesse “Sunny” Altman represents both plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes trial and appellate litigation.
Her experience encompasses a wide range of matters, including class actions, antitrust matters, breaches of contract, business divorces, and product liability cases, including litigation related to the opioid epidemic. Her practice also focuses on intellectual property, where she handles copyright, trade secrets, and trademark matters for some of Atlanta’s leading businesses.
Outside the office Sunny serves on the board of directors and volunteers with the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (GLA), a nonprofit providing legal assistance and educational programming to artists and arts organizations across the state. She serves on the alumni council for the Auburn University chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. She is also the media relations chair for the Thomasville Rose Society where she is an annual volunteer for the Thomasville Rose Show and Festival in Thomasville, Georgia and was the Thomasville Rose Society Member Annual Honoree for 2023.
She’s a 2022 graduate of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinders program, a graduate of the Anti-Defamation League’s Glass Leadership Institute, and a former barrister for the Clarke-Carley Inn of Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Sunny served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard W. Story in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Sunny earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia where she received the Isaac Meinhard Award for Highest Academic Average, as well as the Jesse and Dan MacDougald Memorial Award for First Honor Graduate. While in law school, she was a member of The Order of the Coif, executive symposium editor for the Georgia Law Review, and a hearing panel member of the Honor Court.
She received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University.
