Ben Thorpe returns to Bondurant Mixson & Elmore as partner
Thorpe bolsters the firm’s antitrust, appellate, and corporate advisory capabilities, reinforcing its status as a litigation powerhouse
Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP announces Ben Thorpe has rejoined the firm as a partner.
Ben represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex trial and appellate litigation. His practice spans class actions, multidistrict litigation, contract disputes, business torts, and federal and state statutory claims. He advises corporate clients regarding litigation and enforcement risk and has particular experience in antitrust matters, having represented both parties and witnesses in high-profile cases across a range of industries.
“Ben enhances our team with his extensive experience in complex litigation, corporate recoveries, investigations, and client counseling, and his return marks a homecoming to the place where his impressive career began," says BME partner Ronan Doherty. “From representing clients in high-stakes business litigation to top-flight appellate advocacy, Ben consistently demonstrates his commitment to legal excellence, driving results for his clients. His unique blend of in-house and courtroom experience positions him perfectly to tackle the challenges our clients face today.”
Prior to rejoining BME, he served as in-house counsel to The Home Depot, managing an active commercial litigation portfolio that included significant plaintiff-side corporate recovery matters. He also handled investigations and compliance matters, and in that role provided counsel to executive and board leadership on the effective mitigation of risks arising from both private litigation and government enforcement.
He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
