Frank Lowrey, Mickey Mixson & Mike Terry Receive 2025 Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” Honors for Atlanta
Peer-based reviews acknowledge BME attorneys as tops in their respective practice areas, continuing firm’s impressive run
Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP attorneys Frank Lowrey, Mickey Mixson and Mike Terry have been recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2025 “Lawyer of the Year” in Antitrust Litigation, Trusts and Estates Litigation and Banking and Finance Litigation, respectively, outperforming other leading attorneys in one of America’s oldest and most respected peer-based awards programs.
Best Lawyers compiles its annual list of top attorneys by conducting thousands of peer review surveys. Only one lawyer is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for each specialty focus and metropolitan area.
This marks the sixth “Lawyer of the Year” award for Lowrey, who was the top-ranked attorney in the Appellate Practice category last year and has made the Best Lawyers list every year since 2010. He has more than 25 years of experience litigating complex antitrust cases in federal and state court, and has served as lead counsel in defending and prosecuting plaintiff’s class actions, pursuing single-plaintiff antitrust claims on behalf of large institutions and defending merger challenges by the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice.
Mixson is a three-time “Lawyer of the Year,” as well as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. His practice focuses on business torts, corporate governance, partnership and fiduciary disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and securities litigation. In recent years, he has recovered awards and settlements for clients totaling over $2 billion.
This is also the sixth “Lawyer of the Year” award for Terry, who has made the Best Lawyers list every year since 2009. Terry is a former president of the Atlanta Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker and author on business litigation topics, including class actions, punitive damages and appellate issues. He served on the plaintiffs’ trial teams for the two largest verdicts in Georgia history. Terry has also been on the winning side on appeal for the largest verdict in Georgia ever reversed, and the largest verdict in Georgia ever affirmed on appeal.
Best Lawyers also recognized partner John Floyd in multiple litigation practice areas.
