He has won multi-million-dollar jury verdicts representing plaintiffs and defendants. In the last five years, he has recovered over $115 million for his clients, while successfully defending high-stakes cases by dismissal, summary judgment, and prevailing in arbitration. Federal judges from the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Northern District of Georgia have appointed Pat to represent plaintiffs with complex claims. His peers have recognized him as a Georgia Super Lawyer and Rising Star.
Pat frequently litigates at the confluence of business and technical expertise, in areas such as corporate recoveries, construction, restrictive covenants, insurance coverage, and intellectual property. Pat prides himself on learning his clients’ businesses across industries like automotive, construction, energy, finance, fintech, healthcare, real estate, staffing, technology, and wastewater.
Before joining the firm, Pat clerked for a federal district court judge. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the Virginia Law Review.
Before law school, Pat served as a Ranger-qualified Captain in the U.S. Army. He served two combat tours in Iraq, earning the Combat Action Badge and two Bronze Star medals. Pat’s counterinsurgency work in Ramadi has been covered in A Chance in Hell, A Soldier’s Dream, and Ramadi Declassified. Pat graduated from Georgetown University, which he attended on an Army ROTC scholarship. He is an Atlanta native and a graduate of The Lovett School.
