Mark L. Bailey
Mark L. Bailey represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation in federal and state courts, handling matters from early strategy through trial and appeal. He has worked with a diverse array of clients, including governments, financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, technology companies, and individuals. He also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on protecting clients’ constitutional and civil rights.
Before joining the firm, Mark clerked for Judge William M. Ray, II of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and Judge Jill A. Pryor of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Prior to law school, Mark built a career in nonprofit service and the entertainment industry. As grants manager for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, he worked in tandem with Feeding Georgia to address the needs of Georgians statewide. Before that, he spent several years working in professional theater as a lighting designer and technician for regional companies, national tours, and university productions.
Outside of his legal practice, Mark is an active commentator on constitutional law. His writing on the First Amendment has been published in the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law and the Washington & Lee Law Review Online.
