Firm unveils updated brand, visual identity, and website, highlighting nearly 50 years of litigation success
Bondurant, Atlanta’s premier litigation firm for high-stakes disputes, announces today an update to its brand, introducing a streamlined brand name, updated visual identity, and redesigned website.
Founded in 1977, the firm was built with a focus on winning high-stakes business litigation. Since that time, its attorneys have built a track record of success, shaping legal precedent across Georgia, the Southeast, and the nation. The firm’s founding lawyers—Emmet Bondurant, Mickey Mixson, Jay Elmore, and Edward Krugman—made the name Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP synonymous with bet-the-company litigation, top-tier talent, pro bono legal service, and community engagement. The firm’s founders remain engaged in the community and part of the firm. The decision to be known simply as Bondurant arose naturally, since both clients and the broader legal community already refer to the firm this way. Insight drawn from client, partner, and associate interviews guided the brand direction and updated identity, reflecting that the firm’s hard-earned reputation for litigation success is readily conveyed in one word.
“Not only did Emmet, Mickey, Jay, and Edward build a powerhouse law firm, but they had the foresight to create a firm where their legacy thrives in generations of future lawyers,” says Tiana Mykkeltvedt, a partner and member of the firm’s management committee. “The updated look reflects who we are today: a modern, highly-skilled litigation boutique trusted to handle some of the toughest, most important cases in the country. At our core, we’re the same trusted litigation team, whether we’re defending Fortune 500 companies or representing individual plaintiffs.”
Earlier in 2025, the firm partnered with Atlanta-based marketing and advertising agency Bosun to lead the branding update. Working closely with a committee of partners and associates, the agency developed an updated brand, visual identity, and website capturing the firm’s sophistication. Client insights, market analysis, and input from the firm’s attorneys informed the creation of an updated identity that is as distinctive as the firm’s litigation work. The updated identity features not just a streamlined name, but also a refined color palette and logo.
“Bondurant has an extraordinary reputation in the legal industry, and our goal was to create a brand identity that matches that stature,” says Bill Swanston, founder and president of Bosun. “The updated look and streamlined name project the firm’s modern sophistication while honoring its deep history of courtroom and community impact. Every design choice was made to reflect the firm’s precision, confidence, and results-driven approach.”
The firm’s legal name will remain Bondurant, Mixson and Elmore, LLP. The firm’s brand update follows a landmark year in 2024. In that year alone, the firm argued appeals involving over $3.4 billion, represented 15 sex trafficking survivors in a first-of-its-kind trial against hotel operators, and resolved a $95 million judgment the firm won at trial against a global bank in a major Ponzi scheme suit. The firm also achieved notable victories in its pro bono cases, winning summary judgment to enforce Georgia’s promises about resuming executions after the pandemic and winning an injunction against Georgia’s attempts to withdraw medical care from prisoners. Additionally, for the 21st consecutive year, Bondurant’s commercial litigation and antitrust practices earned prestigious “Band 1” rankings from Chambers USA, making it the only Georgia firm with fewer than 800 attorneys to achieve this distinction.
