Bondurant announced today that Michael Baumrind has been promoted to partner, recognizing his litigation practice and track record guiding clients through complex, high-stakes disputes in courts and arbitrations nationwide.
Baumrind is a trial and appellate lawyer who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation matters, including business torts, breach of contract, trade secrets, and consumer protection claims. He also helps corporate clients recover insurance proceeds for first- and third-party claims, with a particular focus on insurer disputes. With extensive experience in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Baumrind frequently serves as local counsel for clients nationwide and represents them on appeal in state and federal courts.
Beyond his client work, Baumrind is active in the broader legal community. He serves as vice president of the Federal Bar Association’s Atlanta Chapter, supporting chapter leadership, shaping programming and initiatives, and advancing the chapter’s pro bono and community outreach efforts.
Before joining Bondurant, Baumrind clerked for the Honorable Jill Pryor of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable Amy Totenberg of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Baumrind earned his J.D./M.P.A., summa cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, his M.A. from Western New Mexico University, and his B.A. from Duke University.
